Hi- maybe you should also write a column for the newspaper you describe. I wrote an Erma Bombeck-type column called A View from the Tree-top-Crabtree being the inspiration and two young kids being the fodder. Was fun, it had fans and enemies, too. I enjoyed it. Look forward to more of your non-niche submissions-Good luck with collecting a following-
Doubt if you can find them- they were in a local paper like you listed in you article - my travel blog - suddenly was unearthed( ended in 2016) when I tried to start a newsletter for my “women of a certain age, invisible to many, who use their deductive reasoning to solve mysteries. The bad guys never see them coming,” mystery book(hopefully series). Find them at kathryncrabtree.org if interested. Traveled for two years in a 38 ft motor coach around the country
I was drawn right in with that title. The vision of a turtle ambling away knowing he'll get caught sits right with me. I look forward to reading more from you! Just remember to take it easy. There's no rush.I just subscribed.
Thank you! And I needed that reminder that there's no rush; I've started 2024 a little slow on this platform (but not elsewhere) and it's been bothering me. Breathe in, breathe out. 😁

Thanks, Kathy! I always loved Erma, and I'll have to see if I can dig up some of those treetop columns!
